Womanhood
Womanhood is…complicated. What even is womanhood and why does it matter? Truth is, womanhood hasn’t always been easy for me.
Stepping into certain roles of being a woman, like learning to be a wife and a mother, felt like the squeezing of my heart much like a lemon making lemonade. Or better yet, a vice grip, with the threat of losing me. What was left of me after all the demands? I’ve come to see that womanhood is so much more than duties and roles. It is the very essence of who you are. Who God designed you to be and the way in which you can uniquely worship Him in your everyday.
Artificial “Incouragement”
I suppose it’s really nothing new. From the very beginning, mankind was hungry to hear the words their hearts desired. As Adam and Eve journeyed closer and closer to the ‘tree of life’, the enemy lurched in the distance…watching and waiting for the moment when his words would have impact. The kind of artificial incouragement that would drastically change the backdrop of their everyday life. And for all of those to come. The promise of the “knowing” that would result in the sinking reality that his kind of incouragement truly was artificial.
